RSABI

Our objectives
RSABI (formerly the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution) is a unique Scottish charity dedicated to the relief of hardship and poverty amongst people who have depended for their livelihoods on the land.

Each year we help hundreds of people with backgrounds in land-based occupations and who due to illness, disability, low income or crisis find themselves unable to cope. Every individual has their own needs, and RSABI structures the support it provides to best improve the quality of life of that person.  GATEPOST is the first listening and support service dedicated to the farming and land-based community in Scotland. It’s a confidential telephone helpline and our trained staff are available from 9-5, Monday to Friday.

Ring us if you need to talk through what’s on your mind. We can’t advise you what to do, but we can help you as you look at the options. GATEPOST is a confidential service; you don’t have to give your name if you don’t want to, and what you say will go no further. If you need specialist support, including help with financial, business, health or family issues, we can point you in the right direction.
