AFCP 2017 Student Forum

Following  our successful student forum at Sutton Bonington in 2015, we are planning another event at the University of Hertfordshire on Wednesday April 5th, 2017.

The event is open to all students doing research funded, or part-funded, by charities. This includes not only those studying for PhDs but also, for example, MSc students and undergraduates doing a piece of research as part of their degree.

Students will be asked to produce a poster and, if they wish, to introduce this formally with a short oral presentation ( 5 -10 mins). Students who have recently started their research may attend, although a poster describing the work they are proposing might provide a useful starting point for discussion.  The main focus will be on discussions between students around the posters.

Charity trustees and student supervisors will also be welcome to attend, although we may have to limit numbers.

There will no charge for attendance and we would encourage charities to support students with expenses to enable them to participate.

It is hoped that this will provide a great opportunity for students working in Agriculture and Food to get to know each other and share knowledge and experiences.

If you are interested in attending or finding out more about this event, please contact Graham Jellis, Chairman AFCP
